All good. Nice mechanism! I can see it now too.

These short videos show the range of stroke adjustment from the Wobble mechanism for the Sawzall conversion, I actually managed to get a little bit of extra stroke than I was aiming for ( 11mm as opposed to 3/8" in the design that I am following) by changing the design slightly.

    Minimum Stroke - 1mm approx

These photos show the Stroke Adjustment Screw Access Holes in the housing and the 3/8" rubber blanking grommet that should stop anything from getting in there.
This relatively simple job took a lot longer than I had expected, 4 hours + from start to finish.

That looks great. Like a bought one!

I should pull my finger out. Been busy collecting red bricks for an outdoor kitchen. All out of recycled materials. It's not easy!

I'm working on the business end of the scraper now, the drawing that Joe posted has been a great help in making a copy of the genuine Biax blade holder, thank you Joe. In order to keep the blade holder interchangeable with the genuine Biax item I would like to drill the mounting holes to the correct center distance which I think is 10mm, after scaling from drawing but I am not sure, would you be able to confirm that please Joe?

Yes, the Biax uses 10mm centre mounting bolts. Of course that really is irrelevant for our adaptations - unless you intend to bolt it to a genuine Biax one day

The Blade Clamp and Rubber Cushion are finished but I might remake them in the future as they are both slightly undersized in a couple of places, they will have to do for now.

    Thats turned out really good.

Mine is still on the bench waiting to be finished. It'll have to wait another month as I'm off to Simpson Desert to see the Big Red Bash!

Enjoy The Bash Simon, we went in 2018, in fact I was a volunteer and helped pack up all the kit after the event. It was a great experience, my wife who was in her early 70's went to the mosh pit with another lady who was camping nearby to us and was of a similar vintage and reported back about lots of young couples there with little rug rats on their shoulders all bopping along to the music and having a great time. Up until then my wife had no idea what a mosh pit was!! The whole time we were there there was a really nice atmosphere and we saw no ugly behaviours and the only bad thing I heard of was that some low life had stolen the wood supply from the volunteer ambo's, so not much of a campfire for them. I hope you like it as much as we did

    Hi Rope,

Thanks mate. This is our 2nd trip to the bash. We first went a year after you in 2019. Wasn't sure what to expect as we normally try to go camping with the least amount of people possible, certainly not with 10,000 others!

Turns out it was an amazing experience! I'm a massive Oils fan and so to see them live again was amazing. They were brilliant and so were all the other entertainers.

We were mostly self sufficient with all food and water as we crossed the Simpson straight after the bash. However, the quality of the food available at the vendors there impressed us greatly so we mostly ate out every night!

At our camp, our neighbours were from QLD and very nice people. After the concert each night, we shared a camp fire.

Each morning we were awoken to bagpipes on Big Red. Wife also did yoga every morning there as well.

    Yep, highly recommended!

How is this project progressing? Have they been used in anger yet?
