All depends on your location, if there is already 3ph distribution running past the property then generally no too much headache. But if the service is not in place then you will need to pay for the service to be connected to your point of supply.
Likewise upgrading the 1ph supply, in some locations that will depend on the step down transformer feeding that area, if it’s already fully subscribed you will pay for its upgrade.

Personally have not looked at my current address. But connection is one thing, then I would need to factor in conversion or replacement of all the current 1ph toys that I have

Just contact your power supply company they will know wouldn't hurt to find out. As for your 1ph toys sell them that's what i did, sold the lathe and milling machine. Then i got a couple of real mans toys 1.8 ton Okuma lathe and 1.4 ton Rambaudi mill.

Getting 3 phase can be a variable experience. At a property I work at, there was HV running along the edge of the property. but no transformers any where near. where we needed power. From memory it was about $40k to run about 1km of HV off the existing lines to a 63kVa transformer, which we paid for, but the distributor owns, somehow. That was probably 10 years ago. Might cost just a little more these days...

At my property, there's 3 phase LV running down the street. Upgrade of the line in and metering was completely free, I assume because the retailer/distributor thought we'd be using more power.

Thanks mate Yeah still a lot more work to do like glass and screen filter needs to be made up. Electrical and plumbing fitted on the cabinet and a dust collection system, then it will be ready to use.

That's a great job - I wish I had the room to house something like that - I recently purchased a gravity fed sand blasting gun - it does work to a degree but makes such a mess - sand gets into everything - I should have worn a hat - I had to have a shower before coming in for the evening - sand dropped out of my clothing and hair everytime I sat down somewhere.

    Looks nice

I believe you can line the inside with canvas , the canvas absorbs or slows down the speed of the abrasive particles as they bounce off the walls, the abrasive particles can cloud up the workspace which makes it harder to see what is going on.

Thanks, what i have seen is you can use Stainless Steel 120 Mesh and place it ~ 6mm from the glass which should slow down the particles.
