Hi All.
I have just made some replacement pulleys for a mate that live 10m up the top of his antenna tower, the original pulleys were made of plastic;

So it's no wonder the plastic unit failed in the harsh Australian sun, full view of the UV's up there.

I had some 80mm dia aluminum stock so I cut some off and into the lathe;

These should last a bit longer than the last ones, the biggest issue I had was parting them off, my parting tool left me with about 30mm to hacksaw through, I ground a piece of tool steel to make the grooves, it all worked out in the end, they are installed and functioning and he is rather chuffed with it all

So then I had a mess to clean up as usual, I do like to keep my machines clean;

A pleasant afternoon spent playing in the workshop enjoying some machine therapy

Cheers all
