    Default Simple Lathe feet

My lathe has felt a bit short since I put the new concrete in the old part of the workshop. It raised the old floor level by about 50mm.

Turned up some feet/raisers from some old hydraulic rod.
I was concerned they might wander in the concrete so cut a recess in the base and made some rubber pads out of insertion rubber. They protrude about 1mm from the steel.

Made a big wad punch out of a bit of pipe and used the press to do the work of cutting them.

    And installed.

Careful Steve, you’re going to wear that nice new press out if you keep using it

    Seriously though, nicely done !

    Thanks John.
If I wear the press out any time soon I'll be having a serious discussion with the manufacturer......
