Joplin vice colour
Hi All
anyone know the original colour of Joplin vices? Going to give this little vice a freshen up, not sure if the green is the colour and couldn’t find that info.
Thanks all.

While doing background research for writing this:
https://motofaction.org/tool-reviews...lian-eastwood/
...I tried to determine the original colour as best as possible. It seems that the cast iron ones were largely green, and given the number I have seen now that look the same colour as what's in your hand there I suspect that's the original paint.

The 4" Joplin I bought in 1967 - which I still have and still use is black but that is a fabricated (not cast) vice.

Thankyou! Mind if I put that in the history article to demonstrate an original colour?

Thank you all for the help and interesting discussion. I actually saw another orange offset like Chas’ in my (internet) search, but had seen a bunch of colours across the different vices including ‘Dawn red’ so wasn’t sure what was what.
J.C. Thanks for that, going green again
