    Thanks John - I was pretty sure that's what it was.
    I've got no idea why it would have suffered so much hammering unless it was sticking in its holder - in which case it would have been a 5min job to sort out rather than continuing to bash it to death. You have to wonder about some people....
    That one is the only tool of its type in the box, so there's no die holder version. Looks to be a simple and effective design though, and wouldn't be hard to make.

    Good idea on using the turret tooling for the press. I'll keep that in mind.

    Dave J - I doubt I'll want more capacity on this one as my Takisawa lathe has a decent 14" swing. It will be getting riser blocks though - to raise it up to a better working height as the carriage handwheel is very low for me.
