    Default First furnace build

Pulled out the inner former and found that the burner and preheat tubes had moved slightly allowing refractory to enter from the inner end. About 50mm thick in the case of the burner tube

Spent a bit of time drilling and fettling with a masonry bit while it’s still somewhat green and not super hard.

In hindsight I should have cut the domed top off the lid to reduce the volume of refractory. It’s about 150mm deep in the middle.
Might need a bigger lever on the foot pedal to lift it!!

Will leave both lid and body covered in plastic for now for a month or so, so it doesn’t dry out too fast.
