you may even get some ideas from something like Renovators Forum.

Too dark right now to get good fotos, but between house and garage here pergola has a raised roof, as in on house side roof has been raised above actual height of house. To do this they ran some "SHS" from eaves up around gutter to obtain height. Some flat sheet has be used to seal off gap. If you need some light in may be able to use come clear sheeting instead.

Ok its more involved, but more roof pitch has been achieved and helped make the space more comfortable in Summer. Before this under the laser lite installed by BIL on a shallower pitch was only fit to grow "plants" underneith.
Frisky wife, happy life. Then I woke up. Oh well it was fun while it lasted.
From an early age my father taught me to wear welding gloves . "Its not to protect your hands son, its to put out the fire when u set yourself alight".

    thanks jatt!
there will be plenty of height to play with on this project , i'll be lining the walls and making french windows and doors slate floor en suite etc iv'e put the pitch calculator over an existing lean-to and the pitch is 1 degree it has never had any leaks and i may end up with something between one and or one and a half degree. hopefully doing the posts shortly.
    kind regards
