Default Couple of Press improvement on a damp day

Bit damp on the east coast so a good time to head to the shed and make a few improvements to the new press.

Castor wheels to help move it around my ever decreasing work space,

Nylon sleeve on jack handle for a better fit,

an alloy knob for jack release to hopefully improve control.

and an extension for the "ram"

    .

I'm also wanting to make a hand wheel for raising nd lowering of the Jack thread, but that will hve to wait till I source a suitable piece of steel the right size.

putting the new press to good use, removing dents from my "dirt" wheelset. its not perfect but I'm happy enough with the result for a first attempt.

Some good mods on the press there Oldhack.

Check the rims fine cracking. Some ali rims will bend once and not crack but when bent back small cracks can develop.

I had thought about apply a small amount of heat, but was concerned about making the alloy brittle .
