Sheet metal battery charger station
Had a couple of hours of shed time this arvo, decided to build a somewhat over complicated sheet metal affair with disruption form strengthening and solid rivets.. doesn’t everyone have shelving made with aircraft rivets and dimpled speed holes?
Made from 16G 6061 that I had floating around, the top shelf was a left over from a previous job that I forgot to measure twice and made 20mm too small across the short side. Rivets are 1/8” x1/4” before bucking, which means they are a fraction long technically but couldn’t be bothered cutting them and well it’s a shelf, not a Spitfire.
Still need to feed some plastic into the mill and make some racks for the spare batteries to slide into underneath the bottom shelf.
