Been working on the trike on and off, done some mods to the gearbox support brackets slotted the holes so i have more adjustments for the engine and gearbox don't wont any of those parts touching the frame as it will be a bumpy ride. Put some Kool Wrap on the exhaust outlet as my back will be close to that exhaust. At last got the duct work done, was tricky to do but i think this will work As you can see i will be sitting on top of the engine, need some protection made up a FOD plate out of 6mm steel plate. The “family jewels” will be more comfortable with this plate in place

    Hi Turbine Builder,

Nice work, I'm looking forward to seeing this machine in action !

If that turbine let go there will be more than just nuts flying

I saw that program on TV where RR blew a blade off the fan on a running RB211 ! A bit bigger than your little turbine but it would still be a big bang !

Hi Baron J Thanks mate, got some time off work so can push harder to get things done. I think most of the hard work is done,so i need to work out were to put the rest of the auxiliary units. LOL nuts flying i hope not That 6mm plate will be fine,i have seen one of these size engines let go It's just goes BANG!!!! and bits of metal get shot out the back of the exhaust pipe ,but could of blown up on the side of the engine as well. I had a JFS 100 turbine as you can see it has a thick ring made out of inconel i think and the free power gearbox turbine wheel fit inside the ring so if that wheel lets go bits of metal will be contain inside the ring not blown out inside the aircraft.
