I have got the longer sections bent up that I can not do on my Magnabend. It went easier then I thought and also harder as the machine gets in the way and we could not bend symmetrically, so we measured a bend and bent away from the line to suit and it seems to have worked out fine.
It makes you understand the versatility of the magnabend type machine when you try a pan brake and find it gets in the way of some bends.Gold, the colour of choice for the discerning person.

Have got it pretty well done. Have to weld up some gaps and pop rivet the tabs in.
Has worked out OK but I am still no fan of doing sheet metal work. Certainly a lot harder then meets the eye.

It is fitted to the trailer now. It holds the hydraulic powerpack to power a tipper ram. Just waiting on some hydraulic bits and a latch for the top. I have a 12V to 12V battery charger to install in the box as well. I might also put the breakaway controller in there as well.

Don't know if you're interested, but we fit a small solar panel on the tool boxes to keep the batteries topped up for the tippers and winches on the trailers we make. Can get panel details for you if need be.

Thanks, the battery charger I have also has a solar panel input, but I decided not to use it due to the sort of work the trailer will be doing and the fragility of the panels.
I just charge the battery via by wiring up the tow cars to feed 12V to the reverse/auxiliary pin and tapping power off that. It also feeds the breakaway battery.Gold, the colour of choice for the discerning person.

It works well, although the ram has five stages, I really should get the fifth stage welded to the fourth stage so it can not be extended. It gets to 46 degrees just with four stages, and I think if the fifth was to be extended, it will bend the ram as the swivel joint up the top runs out of movement.
