    Default Lathe ID Please

I was wondering if anyone can ID this lathe.... Its been offered to me to buy, however I am not sure what a fair price would be without knowing what I am dealing with.. I don't want to rip the old guy off and likewise I don't want to pay good money for a door stop. The Only badge seems to be Buck & Ryan Tool Merchants London.
    Any Ideas Folks?

That is almost definitely a pittler. Made in Germany originally. They have a very strange method of screwcytting involving worms and wheels (looks like a decent selection of the wheels are there)

Rusty and forlorn its not worth much, maybe 400 to 500 dollars.

Id like one because they are so strange

Thanks Mate... I have decided to grab it.... For what he was asking the gears are worth more than that. Once I get it home I can go over it and see how much is missing and go from there. They are certainly an interesting machine and would be an asset if you could get it up and going again. It would be a very long and expensive project but who knows another machine might turn up that between the two you could get something worth while.

You have a Pittler! I have one as well. Mine is on a stand. See Tony Griffith's website: lathes.uk for information.
