    Default Drill Press

I hope this is the correct place to put this and also I normally spend time on the woodworking site.

Anyway I am wondering if someone may help recognize this drill press. I have tried on some of the UK website with no luck so am spreading out around the world with hope someone has heard of this machine.

It is labeled KIM it is also labeled on the motor as KIM Induction Motor.

The wooden handles are of my own making as there were only two on it when I got it I also find these very comfortable to use

I don't know of KIM as such but from the styling and finish work, I would suggest that it is a Asian import that has been made under many names.

Not sure I would call it antique or vintage.
Looks almost identical to one we had at the mens shed that I was asked to look at as the switch which was damaged and I replaced it with a no-volt type.
It also had the quill handles replaced, but in this case with bare long bolts
It made a bit of a racket - i suspect the bearings needed replacing.
From memory it had quite a high lowest speed so I recommend it be retired as we had 3 other drill presses that were in better shape.

Thank you both it seems this may remain a mystery as it does not matter how many searches that I do bring up zero results unless someone know how to search better than I can as I am not the best at computers and wording things for searches

I think you could be right it is 8 years to young to be vintage(depending on how you define vintage age).
