Well that was challenge for the Machinery Spotters eye!
Bottom half of a Hercus No 9 'cylindrical grinder' ?
pic c/- grays auctions 2014;
'Waratah' spring hammer by Hands & Scott c.1911- 20, 'Duffy, Todd & Williams' spring hammer c.1920, Premo lathe- 1953, Premo filing machine.

Thanks for that pic Andrew, yep, same machine, Hercus No9 actually a Taper Grinder - because the bed swivels about it's centre. (Obviously it would be a cylindrical grinder if the bed was set to 0 degrees). But You'll know more about the nomenclature than me... maybe they are known as Cylindrical Grinders even though they're capable of taper grinding too.
A few minor differences in equipment. I wonder what it sold for, I suppose they don't come up very often.
