    Default Qualos Junior Lathe Handbook

Hey everyone I picked up a Qualos Junior Lathe today just wondering if any one has a handbook for it or knows where I can get one. Plus if you have any other info that’d be awesome. Thanks

    Default Manual

Dont think there is a manual available but others may know more about it. Seems to be a few of those juniors about . The stand appears to be on the flimsy side , it could be more robust .

    Default Qualos Junior headstock

I'm a total lathe novice but recently acquired a Qualos Junior - I am doing a minimalist refit, it seems to be OK as far as I can judge.

I am trying to remove the shafts from the headstock, mainly so I can fit a new drive belt.

Prior to this, everything has been easy to dismantle, but I am struggling here. I see from the forum that the user manuals were not available.

However, always the optimist! Anyone got a manual now?

    Thanks

G’day mate sorry no manual still but I’m hoping too. Did you have any info on yours in regards speed settings? Or auto feed? All plaques and stickers on mine are gone.

Out of sheer curiosity what’s your serial number stamped on the end of the bed?

Short of replacing your Vee belt with a Link belt you may be able to get some insight to removing your spindle by looking at the spindle removal from a Hercus 9 R or 260.

Here is the placard on mine.

Serial number is 110 - this is on the tailstock and carriage as well as the bed.

Made a little more progress on the headstock today - its more about gently persuading it to come apart, and I dont like to use force anywhere near the plastic parts.

Thanks mate that’s awesome it’ll come in handy. How’s you go pulling it apart? I gave mine a quick paint today with as close to original colours to look like what it would’ve.
