    Default Hello from New Zealand

    Hiya,

My name is Sander, spent my life in IT, been doing some hobby machining, mostly messing about with a lathe and decided to teach myself to TIG weld.

I bought a second hand TIG welder and am starting this great adventure (rewiring some of the shop to be able to plug the thing in, getting torch and consulables sorted, replacing the gas lines etc.)

    Have an awesome Chrismas!

    Welcome aboard.
I was born, raised, and bred (as in both our daughters are also kiwi's) in NZ, but been living over the ditch for almost 30 years now.

You've joined a nice friendly bunch here

While I want to be clear - I’m an Aussie - I did live in NZ for a few years
    Now back home.

I’ve taught myself to TIG weld, with pleasing results, albeit with a long way to go.
The two things that helped me the most: Foot pedal (Especially for Al) and YouTube.

    Enjoy.
