Newbie finally joining the Forums - Graham from Healesville
Hello all - I am an over 50 living in Healesville Victoria who has finally decided to get out of full time IT work (30+ years) and get back to my original love of machining and making 'stuff'
Way back in the seventies I began work as an apprentice toolmaker in Sydney but after a few years most of the work began going offshore to Singapore and eventually China so I joined the Navy and certified as an Instrument / Electronic fitter.
After many years working in IT for Microsoft / IBM etc. I have finally decided to walk away from IT and get back to my passion.
Five years ago I bought an SX4 mill and and SC10 lathe from Steve at Ausee here in Victoria and I am now using them to do piece work for local brewers and fabrication shops.
I want to learn and share with like minded makers so here I am!
Onwards and upwards (or downwards if I am drilling)

Welcome mate. Interesting that you have a Sieg SX4 - I could never find much info on them from a users perspective. It would be great to hear you thoughts on it?
Thanks
Ian
