    Default Greetings from newbie

    Hi all

New to the forum. I just purchased an almost as-new, looks new from a distance, Hercus 260 with only about 20 hours use on it. Came with lots of tooling and gauges and stuff. Still sorting through everything.

I also got an old cold saw (dunno what brand - it has a Sago motor) and a small mill (E&L from Perth?) in the deal.

The cold saw has lost its coolant pump (that used to sit on the back of the engine spindle).

The lathe has almost no oil in it, so I am just researching what to fill that with.

Then I am keen to start making some chips!

I am computer nerd, but love tinkering in my shed. Biggest tinker yet was a Shelby Cobra I built a few years back. I live in country Victoria.

    Cheers, Guy.
