Hello from Melbourne, actually Apia Western Samoa
I've always had an interest in metal work but never felt confident to start. However since I've retired and getting concerned about getting bored I decided to launch into building parts parts principally for my old motorbikes/cars/model aircraft engine collection and I will be building some internal model engines like the Farmboy Hit and Miss and Sidevalve Model Aircraft engines.
Bought H&F Mill and Lathe. Like others here I have found the member contributions excellent, freely giving their guidance on subjects such as tooling and techniques. I might launch into plating and casting a bit later on.
I just happen to be on holidays in Western Samoa with my laptop (and family) hence the reference above. For my next job I was researching how to install a QCTP for a friend and myself, found an excellent article on this site for my specific lathe... so I thought its well and truly time to join.
I'm hoping I might be able to give back by participating if I have some useful information to contribute. Here's hoping!
Regards to All
Greg.

Welcome to the forum Greg, don't be afraid to give input and as Kryn pointed out we love the pics. Sometimes I think a camera should be the first purchase .
Just remember there is no such thing as a silly question, just silly answ...
Looking forward to your input (and pics).
