    Default Chrome look paint

    Hello all

I was not sure where the best place for this question was.

I am after opinions on the better brands of Chrome look paint.
I am doing a cheap runaround bike and would like the guards to have a chrome or polished alloy look for very few dollars.

Has any found one of these that appears better than the rest?

    Thanks Steve

What I've done before to get a metallic look is (rattle can) spray the base material with silver paint (I think these days it is referred to as Aluminium) and then once it is dry put a coat or two of clear varnish on it to give it some depth & shine.

Kromebrite Liquid chrome at Supercheapauto used to be the stuff for wire wheels on MGs etc.
