kafie, Go on, you know you want it. You know delivery won't be a problem

    Hahaha!!!

I want it but I am not chasing that kind precision with the stuff I do. A fly cut is good enough for what I need.

I am a half glass full kinda guy

The optimist says that the glass is half full, while the pessimist says it's half empty.
The point being that it SHOULD never be empty. HIC

... and the engineer says that it is twice as big as it needs to be and represents redundant space...

That grinder looks quite nice but to my eye the price is a bit steep. A new one from H&F is around $5k where as that one could have all sorts of wear accumulated during it's working life.

If dude still has it in late April I'm in. It looks like a better adaptation of the Macson design with the grind head feed wheel facing forward and both metric and imp units.

I haven't reached out as coming this early would look like a typical marketplace scammer. "Hello sir, I would like to buy your tool but I am unable to collect it for 6 weeks" He has already dropped the price once, so it will probably be gone...

    Why wait till April?

You always have afterpay as an option

Collecting in 6 weeks should be ok, nothing unusual about that.

Hah. I just don't like being entitled. If dude gets a cash offer before then, he should not have to worry about some random internet person who super-duper promised to pay up in a few weeks. By the same token, if I put money down now, what's stopping him from doing a runner?

I'm headed to melb for a wedding last weekend of April, and a side trip to Bendigo is totally in the budget, as I have saved a lot of brownie points.

For what its worth, I do not know the seller personally but he is a member of the Hercus FB group for a few years. He also has a Hercus 0 mill up for sale soon.

He does have a few enquiries and so this may eventually get sold off.
