I've been watching it, just not sure that (a) it would fit on my 8x5 trailer and (b) my 5kw phase converter would run it.
Would love to see it working.

Is anybody likely to collect some bits from this auction. Would love to bid on some small stuff if the prices stay reasonable but a) I cannot collect it b) need it boxed and sent to Adelaide. Just wondering if anybody might assist somebody from the Australia's 3rd world?

I'm bidding on some stuff, would be happy to help out- unless you're outbidding me on the stuff I want! Or I guess I could just pick the eyes out of whatever you buy...anyway I plan to be collecting some stuff myself if things go my way so yes, happy to help. The site is sort of between my home and work.
I went and had a look at the offerings today- crossed a few things off my list and added a few others. That planer isn't as big in person as it looks in the photos (still pretty damn big but); the vertical slotter is HUGE!

Can Pickup from Auction
If anyone from Adelaide is planning on getting items from the auction, I'm heading over that way in a week or so and can bring items back, if it's OK with Pete O. I'll be using a Triton tray top and an 8X5 tandem at this stage, unless I need to hire a bigger trailer.
Possibly heading to Canberra and Newcastle, on a round trip also.

I know fuel is expensive, but I gotta GETAWAY. Figured I might as well help a few members out along the way, plus put names and faces to the handles.

Of course it's OK with me! Unless you also outbid me on the stuff I want! I'm only bidding on one thing that would need a trailer and certainly nothing bigger than an 8x5. No planer for me I'm afraid.
By the way, there are a few lathe tools in that sale that are stated as MT4 whereas I'm pretty sure they are MT5 so beware; if anyone is considering them I'd call the auctioneer and get him to measure to be sure (there are plenty of calipers handy) but to my eye they looked like MT5.
If anyone has questions about specific stuff I might be able to answer vaguely, I spent a couple of hours there yesterday.

Gollant Auctions
OK, who scored what?
I was happy to successfully bid on some milling cutters and tapered shank drill bits. Unable to make it for an inspection, I've taken somewhat of a punt on the latter.

I scored a big fat zero! I put tentative bids in on a few smaller items but there were one or two things that I actually wanted and was reasonably confidant of getting, wasn't able to be online when they were finishing up so don't know how much I was outbid by. No point being disappointed, I can live without them.
I think the only way to know what an item went for is if you were bidding on it, even then I can't see what the final bid was so you would need to be watching it finish. Last I saw, the planer was at about $2500, a fraction of what it would cost to relocate.
