    Default Hercus 260's on the loose

    I noticed 3 Hercus 260 lathes on Pickles today
    Details are 2 x ATM260 c/w stand 3 Phase stock numbers 2590928/10 and 11
    1 x CTF260 c/w stand 3 Phase stock number 2590928/12

    They are listed on page 31 of the general goods / non salvage auction, due to start on 22/10/2021 @ 9am

    There is also an old Taiwanese 3 Phase mill/drill listed on page 33 of the same auction list

    And they probably all have bent spindles now the auction muppets have slung for lifting on them…

    A shaper with a vice attached!! That is a rare find indeed.

    I thought you were making an assumption until I checked the listing. They actually posted a picture of the lifting chain wrapped around the spindle! Numpties.

    And they’ve slung the shaper around the moving top section so the dovetails are bearing the weight of the rest of the machine..

    Not exactly the same, but my U2 horizontal mill is supposed to be slung that way (i.e. by the overarm) according to the maker. But no, I don't think I'd lift my shaper that way
