Default CMM's on Grays, might make good surface plates

There are some CMM's on grays, at ford Geelong. The control gear is missing and most look like they have been moved pretty roughly. They might go cheap enough to strip down and use as surface plates.

Pity there's no controllers...a couple of them look like they might be still be salvageable; the probe heads alone are probably worth a grand or two each. That big Zeiss one at the top would sure be nice to have

If there were some complete ones i would have had a crack, 2nd hand CMM's are very hard to come by in this country. that Zeiss is a beauty, pitty we are out of room at my work.

And when they do come up they don't last long...
I found an absolute bargain last year (mid-size Zeiss 5-axis with scanning head in perfect condition for $20k), but couldn't get it past the bean counters in the week it was up
