But still no indication of where. Looks like a TAFE though.

Probably Elizabeth TAFE, it's the only one I know of in the Northern area. There is a training facility in the Otterway region, I think.

That's what I thought too, apparently they will release the location details on Monday for the inspection so a trip north might be on the cards...

Anybody else go to the viewing today? Very few people there considering the amount of stuff.

There may have been only a few there, but how deep were their pockets or cheque book balances???
Where was it, and are you going, Eric?

I went, it's a private training centre in Elizabeth East, set up when DSTO shut down their apprentice school.
There's some good stuff there as well as some dross, I'll be bidding on a couple of items online as I have to work.
Getting the heavy stuff out will be interesting as there is no lifting kit there and little headroom.

I am going, although I have placed a few bids online. It was 29 Enterprise St. Elizabeth. Kind of halfway between Yorktown and Midway Roads on the Eastern side of Main North rd. I saw some people I recognised as dealers. One from Murray Bridge.

IMG_20181023_161914.jpg I only got one thing. It needs a motor and pulleys but it looks pretty nice otherwise.

The straight edges where over $100 when I bailed out I vaguely remember $150. One of the Sheraton's went for $850. The Steelfast vertical bandsaw went for $1200 but the bigger German vertical bandsaw with blade welder went for only $350. The Wood bandsaw at around item 606 went for $450. The Hercus 3A Tool and Cutter grinder the only accessory for which was the vice went for $200 (that is the only accessory I am missing and whilst I might pay that for the vice on a good day I didn't want to be dumped with yet another Hercus tool grinder. I already have two in my shed atm). I bought a really nice Waldown 8SN with a square T slotted table and rack lift table (but missing motor and intermediate pulleys) for $180 (so the days of my noisy Taiwanese vibration source are limited).

    Both went for $160-180 if I recall + 15%

Some of the machines (larger ones) went quite cheap.
Cincinnati and K&T mills all around $250-300.
    Turret mills $2500-$5000+.
Hercus 9A cylindrical grinder only $200.
European lathes $400-450, the larger lathes (Japanese and UK) for significantly more.
    Profile projector $180.
    NT50 tool holders very cheap.

I think, like someone else mentioned the larger machines are not simple lifts due to low ceiling heights. Dollies and pushing around.
