Anyone seen bidder history like this before??
Instead of an ebay screen name have you seen this before in bidder history?
private listing - bidders' identities protected

That is quite normal if you are bidding. Woukd be concerned if you were the one who listed an item

I was the opening bidder, then was out bid by a private listing that later withdrew their bid. Then just near the end two more private listings look to be bidding against each other.
Never seen a name done like that before and all looked a bit sus to me.…..Live a Quiet Life & Work with your Hands

thats how it is done. activated by the seller. i dont see the point of it though because the randomly assigned a*****1 is pretty anonymous except for the feedback score which doesnt give away identity.

I wonder if it Isa way to hide dummy bidding? This way the same bidder can bid against themselves without you seeing. With the a****2 you could see that without knowing who they are.

With the standard display you can check if the same bidder is bidding on multiple auctions from the same seller and may be a clue to shill bidding.
