There must be some gold in one of those anvils.

The Qld state government will be happy. Most of the stuff at that auction is from the Emerald ag college they shut down and sold the land off.

    I looked at a few $5k to $7k?
They are big anvils but they do seem expensive.
The BRADKEN had made in SPORE cast in the side?
    So would that be Singapore?
I know they’ve departed Oz but that’s not a brand new anvil.
Maybe they are full of drugs or the stumps are

I wonder what milling machine that lathe tailstock (aka anvil) was from? At $400 it seems wildly overpriced but someone may need it.

I wonder if he still has the "rotary anvil" attachment for it

There was a wanted ad on Gumtree a few months back looking for a tailstock that had come off a machine while it was being moved along South Rd..

Scary thing is someone will buy it and start beating steel to death on it

It looks as though it fell off the back of a ute, quill handle is beat up.

It wouldn't surprise me if this was it

Someone must be setting up a Blacksmiths shop. Am I reading it correctly, one bidder spent $24700 on 5 anvils?

It is finished now, but a very late model Elliott shaper. It was originally ex-government (Queensland Rail) of course

    Default Datsun powered lathe

What a little beauty, never worry about power black outs again, add a wood gasifier to the engine and never worry about petrol either.
