That's why the Gov't has made stealing illegal, they don't like competition!!!!

    Hi Kryn,

No the UK Post Office is a private company and has share holders that collect dividends and directors that collect rather large bonuses. If I've understood correctly, they have been offsetting bonuses paid against tax, which amounts to tax evasion or fraud. Apparently this came up as a result of the huge amount of compensation that they have to pay to the postmasters prosecuted under the Horizon scandal, apart from the Governments 75K that they have been awarded.

What made me wonder, was that our AusPost is about the only thing the Gov't hasn't sold off/privatised YET!!!

Also a firearm that was made in a Prison that was the M1 Garand David Marshall Williams.
Just because someone has the equipment, doesn't mean he's capable of making a firearm.
What's even sillier, is that someone having ammunition, they can be charged for Firearm offences, so just because I make a few pens with bullet casings, am I guilty???

Something like an Owen gun is not that hard to make, back when I was a cadet in high school I recall we had 2 Owens in the Q store shed, I remember thinking how simple it was and wondering it I could duplicate it in my fathers back shed - IMHO making a proper working '6 shooter' as mentioned in the original post is another thing entirely and does require a completely different skill level and access to half reasonable machinery.

Probably a fair bit of urban myth over Evelyn Owens part in the Owen gun. Fair to say, while he created the general design, the real work of creating the Owen Gun in 9mm for a production environment was more the work of the Lysaught factory.

Philip Luty is probably more to what people should be thinking when they think home made firearms.

Gun Jesus (Ian McCollum) has videos on both.
