Lost Foam Casting
Found this video on Lost Foam Casting, very interesting video on lost foam finned engine cylinder casting. He is using pink insulation foam board, we can get Saviro XPS Blue Board same foam here in AUS just different color.

Check with whoever is doing your castings first. I used to deal with a foundry who would not do lost foam as the fumes released from the burnt foam were very smelly and likely toxic.

I did a bit of this at Wollongong TAFE about 25 years ago when they were running Foundry down there.
It was for broken stop brackets for Wadkin panel saws, quite small items.
Being a pretty basic shape it was easier than a real pattern and conventional moulding in green sand.
