Muller wheel bearings
I am in the process of building a sand muller. I have a question regarding the hub for the roller wheel; I am contemplating using a trailer hub or similar, wondering if this is likely to suffer sand ingress into the bearings or is there a better hub style to use? The roller wheel will be about 300mm diameter x 90mm wide.

Knowing what 4WD hub seals go through without letting oil out or sand in - I think it will be fine.
FWIW, the front hub seals on my EL Falcon had an inner dust seal lip that contacted the face of the stub axle - similar to the old Landrover triple lip seals you're likely already familiar with.
