Double Caliper
A set of double callipers I made myself. The bolt has been swapped out now for a square shanked rivet. The square shank allows independent movement of each leg.

It's an interesting idea, and it appears you have done a reasonable job on it. I fancy such a thing would be difficult to make. So, well done!
But I can’t think of any application where there would be a need to use both arms simultaneously.

For me when forging a bar down to size I can set one to width and the other to thickness.

Starrett made the 173 caliper.
I had one in the stash which I gave to a mate up Bathurst way who was hitting a bit of hot metal in his retirement.
Should have a photo somewhere but here’s a pic from a cattledog.
