    Default solid rivets source

    Hi all..
    Looking for 3/16 flat head steel rivets for a resto project im working on. Having trouble finding them in Brissie.

    The rivets are about 40c each, the freight is the expensive bit, but what everyone seems to forget is someone has to pick it, pack it, address it and consign it, and in return get paid for doing so. My guess is they are on charging the provision of that service.

    You are correct... freight is the deciding factor on all my purchases.. that is why I buy from China or India and sometimes the UK.. especially when it comes to something like a rivet.. unfortunately they didn't have that size or type.( it turned out to be 7/32 that I needed)
    I did do an exhaustive search , not only in Brisbane , but Australia generally.. the Newcastle mob was the only supplier that I could find who could supply in the min quantity i wanted.. I was quoted $8 for the rivets, and $12 for postage.. hopefully they will turn up next week.
