    Default Smithy Gear Wanted

    Hi Guys,

    If anyone knows of any blacksmithing gear going, Forge, blower, anvil, leg vices, hammers etc please let me know.

    There was a couple of leg vices for sale on gumtree here, if you wanted me to pick up and freight or hold on to it i can do that.

    Thanks Ew.

    I don't like the way the complete leg vice has been welded together, and the second is only half there for twice the price!!

    Sorry I didn't even really look....
    The little one has had the holding bracket welded on and the big one is missing the spring. Hopefully you can fine something better!

    So thats the mystery 100kg item......

    Ego are cheap between major center, but get expensive once you go to smaller places.

    50kg from Sydney (or Melbourne) to here $10, from Woolongong nearly $30.

    It was a solid steel one, as opposed to a wrought iron with steel face or the poorer quality cast steel, and cast iron ones. But It was already at the extremes of price for me the guy now thinks it is collectable.
