    Default BLACKSMITHING at IRONFEST 2013

There are lots of different things happening at Ironfest on the 20-21st April at Lithgow. IRONFEST 2013 - Program 2013
Amonst every thing else there will be the biggest public display of blacksmithing ( I was nearly going to say in Australia!) but it is certainly the best yearly display in NSW. Anyone who is interested seeing hot metal moved should go. I wont be forging this year but my display of hand forged tools etc, will be there!

    We will be there!

We will have a display of knifemaking tools and equipment as well as demonstrations on knife making and bladesmithing.

If you are going, drop by Gameco's booth and say Hi!

See you all tomorrow. The Missus and I shall be there later on, taking a leisurely drive up from The Syd.

    Hi saitou,
You have just missed the Show in Footscray 3 weeks ago.
There were at least 17 Smithy's going full bore.
    It was a Great Show.
You can always check " Events in Melb ".

I/we were going to go last year till we found out the entry fee and people grumble about the $16 entry to SWWS.
Still would be a top day/weekend but cold as in Lithgow this weekend.

Hope you fellows who ventured post some photos.

Yes $35/30 an adult is significant.
Saturday was borderline miserable, what with the cold and rain. Today (Sunday) was very nice indeed.
You could look at it as a full days' entertainment, or demonstrate 'metal arts' like us and get a very good deal from the organisers.
