Thread: Invicta 4M shaper for sale $250 - Tasmania only

I say Tasmania only because basically, this is a project machine that being realistic, I'm never going to get around to restoring. I have too many other higher priority projects still waiting their turn.

Some years ago I rescued this from a person who was a collector (hoarder) and had it stuck in a bad position and too weather exposed. I felt sorry for it.

The rust is all light surface rust, it'll clean up OK I'm sure. I've been squirting all the oil holes full of diesel every so often for the last couple years, haven't tried to move anything because it really needs to be disassembled before rust gets ground into moving surfaces. But because of that, I've no idea what the ways are like under there.

All the pieces are there including the 3 phase motor.

Before anyone asks, yes, there is a shaper vise, no, it's NOT INCLUDED in the sale. I have lots of uses for a vise like this. I'm not parting with it. Well, not at any sensible price anyway. OK I feel a bit guilty about breaking apart the shaper & its vise but the vise is quite worn, especially the screw & nut, and I'll get over the guilty feeling in a short period of time.

Best inspected of course. As I said, I'm not willing to ship it at this time, I can load it onto a trailer without dramas. The point of the sale is to reduce the amount of things to do, as soon as shipping or other stuff gets factored in, the aggravation factor increases.

If nobody is interested, no dramas, I'll stick it on Gumtree and see what happens.
