Are you selling one, or have seen one advertised?
Rules are that advertised items need a price and I'd like to see some photos too.

I take it that your Balaclava is in the UK, not in Australia? You might have trouble selling it on here, because of the transport cost.

Balaklava is on the Crimean Peninsula - now part of the Ukraine!

Now I am really confused! (read this with tongue pressed firmly into right cheek!).

I think I have family there (on the Crimean Peninsula) - in the war cemetery.

P.S. I do have an Adept No.1 Shaper - that I may part with if there is any interest. Shaper is in Western Australia. P.M - R.S.V.P.

There's a Balaklava in SA 25k east of Wakefield.

Default Item for sale is in BALACLAVA AUSTRALIA

No doubt everyone has been confused by the geography mis-directions, but this thread started with
    a) my posting of an Adept 1 shaper for sale by me,
    b) in Australia, for $AU350 ONO.
    c) For other thoughts guys, please stop hijacking thread?

    a) That part was definitely not clear from the 6 words in your cryptic first post.
    b) Is the first time you've given a price, other than a price in UK pounds, so no wonder people are confused as to where it is. Given there is a Balaclava in NSW (2575) and VIC (3183), it still ain't that much bloody clearer.
    c) Good luck with the sale. You're going to need it.

There's a genuine (not a clone) one for sale on eBay for AU $58.76 unfortunately it's in UK and will cost$353.67 to ship to Aus

What is the exact price you want without shipping? AU$498.19 or $350?

For what it's worth. Metalwork Forums has nothing what so ever to do with "Model Engineering Forum" in UK so why would anyone know the price you had put on there.

Can we see a photo of the item? If not why not?

    Good luck with your sale.

the one on ebay with 7 pictures looks welded and repaired and doesnt look like an Adept at all, certainly not a No 1 as far as I can tell. (Tee slots and brackets and lever all wrong, attached info is for a proxon)

the price I want is $AU350 besides shipping

i only put mine on this site because it was suggested by someone who saw it on the ME and MEW site - but I dont know how to use this site properly which is why no photos - send me an address and I will send you as many photos as you want

It is obvious members were not too happy with you attitude as a"newcomer" You first post ad was poorly communicated and it is you who get upset because justified comments were made.

If you want to avoid people "yelling at you" you might care to read the STICKY at the very top of the sub Metalwork - Machinery,Equipment market Forum page.

Its a guide as to what is required to obtain the desired sale. Should you wish to advertise in the future please our sticky very carefully.

This Sticky is easily accessible and not difficult at all to follow. Since you joined the Woodwork side lots of changes have occurred.Very few posts since 2011 have not have allowed you to come up to speed with the changes since 2015.
If you are to post in the Metalwork - Machinery,Equipment market Forum page it will be under our MetalWork Forum rules /guidelines.

Metalwork Forum Members and Admin tend get a touch miffed, when posters such as yourself, who clearly post once in the blue moon have not bothered to take the time the time to understand how OUR MetalWork Forum operates.
Because the service is free does mean there is not some personal responsibility attached to the poster of such ads and also some basic courtesy due to those members reading your ad.

You have failed to understand that that providing a general location comes into decision making process of any potential buyer as to whether or not the item is worthwhile inquiring about, relative to transport /or freight issues from YOUR location. ie :a few Balaclavas in Australia- not clear as to which one the item was located at.

Up to your last post, members had no idea if the item is still for sale or sold unless this information is provided online by you.

That is not acceptable. It is you who has to get all your ducks in a row if you want to advertise. I am quite happy to assist. If you are stuck send me a PM and I'll help you where I can.

    Grahame
