FREE - HAFCO RF-115 Bandsaw 6x4 Sydney
Purchased new about 40 years ago. Now I need the space.
Still works, but it's a tired old saw and probably has substantial wear in the gearbox.
Quite a few parts have been changed over the years, for 'reasons'.
Modified to accept the longer blades currently supplied by H&F,
No motor (but comes with the motor pulley), no vertical cutting table, no belt guard, belt beyond redemption. Dodgy 3 leg stand.
Pick up only.

Pretty much identical to my late 80’s Porsche branded one.

RT you are more than welcome, the bandsaw lived with me in Prospect for a few years so would feel at home, but I'm in Sydney - transport would be killer unless you have someone to take it across.
The stand could come off to shrink the package, but it would not reduce the weight much.

Have the same one, but no blades. What mod did you do for the blades?
(I think mine takes about 1600mm, but Hafco lists 1645mm?)

I read that 1600mm blade length from the machine plate without wearing glasses!
Let me revise my original wording:
"The photo of the machine plate shows 1638mm blade length, but Hafco no longer sells those blades. Current offering is 1645mm."
When I tried a new blade the idler wheel fouled the housing. To make the longer blades fit I simply ground back the casting to allow the idler wheel to travel a bit further.
The amount needing to be removed was not much, certainly not sufficient to create a concern about the remaining wall thickness. I would have thought an increase in blade length requiring the idler wheel to travel an extra 3.5mm would be no problem, but it was not so. Maybe the blades supplied were a bit longer than 1645mm; in any case modification of the housing was needed to make it fit.
