Default Hercus parts prefer swap for Hercus T&C parts.

Hi I have a bunch of Hercus parts that I want to swap for two specific Hercus parts.

    1) Two parts from a Hercus #3A T&C Grinder

    2) Some bits from a Hercus 9" Lathe

The parts I want are the same parts as in lot 1 but the versions made for the Hercus #1 T&C Grinder. You can have all of these parts and some cash if you have the parts I am looking for.

Otherwise $80 for lot 1 and $55 for lot 2 plus postage.

    Hello Eric.

I was under the impression that the 3A and the 1 shared the same table. Not the case? Subtle enough differences for the workhead base not to fit?

The casting in part two is the tailstock body for the little Hercus No. O's dividing head.

    Bob.

    Bob,

The tables on the #3A and the #1 are identical. I have the #1 workhead but was looking for a spare base for the vice. I also have a spare workhead casting that I would like to use just for indexing. On the #1 these use the same mechanism as the 9" lathe (a sort of circular dovetail) but the #3A just bolts together. I think you made a suitable base for your vice which is what I will do if this advert doesn't get me any takers.

Thanks for identifying the tailstock body of the #0. I have one of those castings that has been machined and 2 that haven't been machined.

    Eric
