    There’s a guy in Fingal Tas that calls himself hotroddude or something of that ilk on eBay
    if you search for O1 tool steel you’ll find him pretty easily

    Yep h0tr0ddude is your man. I found him by Googling '1045 steel for sale'. He uses zeros for the 'o's in his moniker by the way. Great service, I requested a little oversize to allow for facing & he happily complied & delivery by Oz Post was sharp .. not bad considering the times we're in.

    I found him to be very quick to respond, & accommodating, given the strictures that normally apply on Ebay. I requested an 'allowance for facing' on the slab he'd advertised & he cut a slightly thicker slice .. gratis! Delivery per Oz Post was quick given our present times.

    When the state was first settled it was relatively common to eat crows, parrots and galahs when no red meat was available
