Give it time. There is only a small audience here most of whom would already own a lathe.
Gold, the colour of choice for the discerning person.

My user one I bought in the 90,s waited for the deal to take place for a year. One day I sat outside the office of the top man in the unit and there was a bare tree branch on a small table in the waiting room, one of the branches appeared to move and to my horror it was a snake, still remember my shock. Anyway the bloke is an Herpetologist. Went in and suggested that staff indicated this man was a procrastinator extraordinary and he rose to the occasion,I paid him cash, borrowed an engine lifter and on my own put the lathe and bits plus the lifter in my trailer and installed the lathe that same day. Later I bought my own hydrolic engine lifter, getting older all the while,it has been wonderful. Being my user one is such a ripper I was over the moon to find this one,the bloke had sole use of it where he worked (new lathe) and when he retired he was offered many years ago to purchase this lathe. His workshop is like home beautiful and he is moving to a retirement village.Just saying with my wife how did I manage lifting, shifting,I had in mind relocating a 20 foot shipping container 12 feet into position using a length of steam pipe and a block of wood about a foot square and an 8 foot high C frame ancient bandsaw with 3 foot wheels on another occasion, she said YOUTH and I remember that with happiness.Met my wife when I was an apprentice sparky at age 17 she was 15 three yrs later married in my 4th yr apprenticeship (65 yrs in July). The sad thing for me I am having to downsize,I gave three trailer loads, bandsaw, bench saws occilating sander etc etc to a beaut mens shed last yr.
Take care out there fellas .

As most members will already have lathes you’ll have to wait for the grape vine to take effect.

You might sell it quicker and get more than your asking price for it if you listed it on eBay.

That’s it. I can’t take the temptation of these Model A’s for sale. I’m putting my C up for sale and will find the cash to get in to an A instead.

Twould be a bad mistake to swap tail stocks they are matched to the head stock and my Hercus has the lock lever it was made in 1966. So first priority IMHO is to only buy a unit with the same serial number on the tail stock as the bed number they are lapped to match.
