I am happy to say that after a chat to the owner today, this lathe is sold.

    Default Year?

Can anyone help with details of what year a 9A with s/n 11567 would have been built?
I've searched (perhaps not dilligently enough) but haven't been able for find a good reference, so a link to a useful url may be all I need.
    Thanks from a newbie.

Get on to Australian Metworking Hobbiest, I believe Mal keeps a list of all machines and their dates.

    1) Interesting. All the 9As I have seen had the spanner type. I must have only seen early ones?

    2) Lapping & shimming to match isn't that hard, but yes, a matched set is nice.
