Tony, there's a couple of options.
    First is a 50x970 belt.
37" is 940mm so this one is just slightly longer. If you've got a little bit of adjustment and can fit a one piece belt it might be almost perfect - just split the width in half and you get 2 belts

Second option is 25 x 1120. You'd need to cut and join it but it's the right width.

4 to 6mm thick would be ok.
I need one piece 2.4m for a Wadkin lathe.
Another 4m approx for an old Mortiser I’m hooking up to the lineshaft.
I have sourced fastners from a mob in the ‘Gong if anybody needs them.
I have also a spare fastener press or two.

Steve, that's terrific - thanks. I have just run the tape over the pulleys and I reckon I can make the 970mm long belt fit. If you reckon it can be cut along the length into two belts, I'm very happy with that outcome - two belts, one a spare, and no tricky joining to sort out. I have to take the spindle out of the headstock anyway, so one with no join works fine. And thanks for making all this effort to ensure these go to good homes. Cheers, Tony

Steve, my lathe uses an endless belt that according to the manual is 91" by 2.5" by 5/32". If there is one of those going I'd be interested (the current belt is alright - this would be a spare)

Hi Michael -same CVA lathe as Caskwarrior by chance??
I haven't got that exact length (2310mm) and the nearest larger size is around 2540mm.

I wouldn't say the same CVA - I'd like to think mine is unique...
but yes, that is the size of the main drive belt for a CVA

As it was just for a spare, I'll pass on the longer belt. The one I have works but it was wicked to buy in the first place.

    Default Belt fastenering gadgets.

    Steve here’s my fasteners.
You are welcome to take your pick of one of the two with the tape.
I don’t remember where I scored any of these ?! Not that I’m a bowerbird
