Default SA - Powered John Heine 4ft Slip Roll

    Greetings,

I have a 4ft John Heine Slip Roll that has had a powered conversion fitted.
Single phase motor coupled to a reduction gearbox to drive the slip roll, operated by a foot pedal.
The unit came from a muffler manufacturer in Brisbane that used it for prototyping.
I purchased it and freighted it to Adelaide and have done nothing with it other than allow it to languish (to the point I haven't even unwrapped the pedal from the unit to test it since purchase, as you see it in the photos is still how it is).

Asking price is $1000 (firm at this stage). If you are in Adelaide metro I can deliver for you if necessary. If you are interstate I can pallet and deliver to the freight company of your choosing (freight is at your expense).

I would also be open to the idea of trading for full or part value on things such as a bead roller, smaller slip roll in the 600-750mm working range, Mitutoyo metric metrology equipment (specifically Mics 25-100mm and DTI's). I am interested. Do you know what thickness material it will handle?

Tried to find out on Google, to no avail. I'd say at a guess that the max over the full width would be about 1mm maybe 1.2mm. You could roll 1.6 but only about 600 wide. These are guesstimates from use about 40 years ago.

Good question, probably should have included such information in the first place...

It was advertised as 1.6 across full width and a minimum diameter of somewhere around 70mm when I purchased it. I have never used it to verify that though. It also has formers on the ends of the rollers for various sizes of round stock.

    Hope that helps
