Default SA - Hercus Power Hacksaw - Free to good home

    Greetings Everyone,

Back in Feb I picked up a Hercus Power Hacksaw from another member here..
Its still sitting in my trailer, and reality dictates I'm unlikely at this point to do anything with it, so I'm offering it up free to a good home (or any home).

If you'd like it, let me know, its still in my trailer and I can deliver it if you ask nicely (Adelaide Metro only). If you are interstate, happy to pallet and drop at the freight company of your choosing (and your expense).
If there's no takers before 11/7 it will be going to scrap sometime in the week after.

If you want parts from it, happy to sort something out if there are no takers for the entire machine by the 11th.

    Cheers

Hopefully it will find a good home locally.

Agree, surely someone could do with it that doesn't have a lot of money for this hobby.
Very kind of you to offer it.

Today is the 11th... And sadly no one has been in touch about rehoming it, so it’s going to the scrap yard next week after the parts requested by a member in Melbourne have been harvested.

If you want it speak now or forever hold your peace!

Would the fixed and moveable parts of the vice still be available perhaps?

Yes, PM me with the parts you require identified (maybe a copy of my picture with the parts circled or something) and we’ll go from there.

This is now the third request for parts so it looks like it’s spirit will live on after I immerse it in a bath of ice water and harvest what has been requested.

If anyone else requires parts, they are free if you cover freight, but you’ll need to let me know by early next week.

    Default Dampener

Sad to see a machine broken up, but I also have a power hacksaw that dose not have a dampener, I think they are also called a dashpot.
Would you consider removing the part and posting it to me in Perth at my expense?

All PMs have now been replied to. And I now have several hours of work harvesting parts over the weekend bright side.. that can be done with beer in hand

    Default The End.

So after breaking a rattle gun, using up a not inconsiderable amount of acetylene and fielding a complaint from my pain in the backside neighbour about noise... I have all the parts that have been requested.
What was left of the machine (which actually wasn’t much in the end) has now gone to scrap.
