Die Threading Head
I have for sale a Landis, Landmatic 1 1/4" Tangential Die Threading Head complete with the 8 additional die holders, setting gauge, tools and 12 sets of Imperial, BSW and BSF dies, most unused. It also includes a grinding jig for the dies as well, but not in this photo.
Sadly Dad was a brilliant Blacksmith, but had little engineering knowledge so most of the dies need sharpening. It always bugged me why they cut crappy threads, but after I made the grinding jig and resharpened a couple of sets, it worked beautifully. Last job I did with it was the 3/4" foundation bolts for my shed.
I would like $150.00 plus freight, but I am open to offers.

Crocy

Hi, I'll take it subject to postal costs.
What would it cost to post to 5253 please?
Do you have any instructions for it, or is it one of those that you reverse the lathe at the end of the thread?
Thanks

Hi Kryn,
I will have to weigh it up and chase prices for you. I have been using OfficeWorks Mailman to send all my timber out, but I am unsure if 1 parcel was delivered. I don't have any instructions for it but I will take more photos and write a story on how to set the dies up. It works by pushing the handle up to contract the dies to the operating position and we had it set up to have the carriage stop at a preset length and when that happens the front half of the head continues to thread a bit more then releases the dies off the bolt.

Kryn, I will have to remove 2 of the die holders off the head to get it under 10kg, then it should go into 2, 10kg boxes from Mailman at $28 each. Auspost is $122.
Rgds,
Crocy.

In case it helps, E-go couriers (Courier Company Australia: Interstate Parcel & Courier Delivery Services) from Townsville depot to Murray bridge is around $60 based on a 25kg 40x40x20 package (online quote).
I've used them quite a few times and been pretty happy with the service.
