    Default Orbital sander

I have a 5" corded orbital sander - Hitachi FSV 13Y. It is probably 20 years old as a minimum.

The hook and loop pad on the bottom cracked the other day and locally I can't get a replacement. Other than that it works. I see them available on UK ebay but they would be A$70 to $90 landed. I have another sander so don't need to replace it and that would be $180 to $200 anyway.
Anyway, I either put it in to the E-waste stream or give it away. If no one puts their hand up by next weekend (say the 7th April) then it goes. If someone wants it before then, then they can have it.

    Would an aftermarket one do?

Possibly, although the mount is different from the Smith and Arrow version.
Regardless as to whether or not it is repaired, it is surplus to requirements so someone else can have the pleasure if they wish
(worth pointing out that it is the soft pad that has gone, not the whole thing - replace that and it is a working sander)

    Hi Michael,

I'm interested in it, if no one else has asked.

Let me know and I'll arrange with you.

    Cheers
