Thread: Belt guard mount photo required

Howdy all,

I'm installing a belt guard on my Hercus 9AR (horizontal drive) machine - and the hinged mount, has no logical place to bolt on to the rear of the machine.

I assume that I am missing a intermediate bracket, or the hinged bracket on the guard...may be off a H (rather than P) drive.

Does anyone have a photo of the rear mount & bracket on a P drive installed - so that I may fabricate the required part?

After some internet searching of Youtube videos - I found a useful image.

This indicates that I actually have the correct bracket.

When installing the belt guards, you need to install the back plate for the side guard first - this will give the metalwork to attach the overhead guard hinges.

So all OK.

Hi Rhysacces,

I see no one was able to help you in yoy initial search for a pic.

I sincerely thank you for making the effort to post the photo and the pertinent information concerning the fitment of the bracket.

Sooner or later that information will be of great use to another Hercus owner.

We have others IMHO that come to our forums and in their very first post post want a picture diagram or some other type information and often disappear without a trace or a thank you.
