Here's a partial image from a Douglas shaper parts break down. Missing (I don't know why they did not include it) is the spring for the pawl. However, it should give you an idea of the shape of the pawl and pawl knob so that you can make those bits up as well.

Douglas pawl dimensions.
Although not a metric machine, the measurements seemed to be closer to millimeter sizes as shown.
The pawl tooth is hard.
It might be good to get some half inch drill rod (aka silver steel), which can be simply flame hardened after machining in the soft state.

270 hercus shaper parts ratchet gear blank

I'm not a fitter machinist at all so far got it right first go. waiting for my 2.5mm slit saw to arrive from flea bay. mi going to make a few more just in case the teeth cutting fails i will send photos of the 270 Shaper soon. at the moment its in the back of the shed and its dark not good for photos
