Default Just got my first Hercus!

I recently bought a mates Hercus 9 model B. serial no 10270, ex tech school I believe.
It came with a set of change gears, and the seller also gave me a box of assorted stuff the school gave hime when he bought it.
In amongst the chucks and dog plates were a lot of various gears, so I have, except for a couple of numbers, almost 3 sets of gears, many look like they have never been used.
I am relatively new to machining, and slowly learning as I mainly work on classic british motorbikes, probably why the Hercus appeals.

I am a great advocate for Hercus.
Been using Hercus Lathes for 60 years (since 1959) after cutting a square form thread, vise screw on a Hercus Lathe at Meadowbank Tech NSW, & realised their scope at that time.
Then in the AWA Toolroom, at Ashfield.
These are great Australian made machines.

Congratulations Johnny on a fine machine.

I'm new to this machining caper too and always learning. Working on bikes, mostly race bikes though. This is a great forum and the Hercs are amazing machines.
